Hey Josh, welcome!
I'm Miguel Ferreira, 24 years old, from Portugal 🇵🇹, and I am currently working full-time as a Product Engineer at Unbabel, a Portuguese YC backed startup based in Lisbon. I have a Bachelor's and a Master's in Computer Science and Engineering. I have also won the Apple WWDC Swift Student Challenge Award twice.

I like to think of myself as a Design Engineer who is always building. I'm the type of person who is thinking about work, engineering, and what to do next while showering, and I wouldn't want to change it for anything. I'm happiest when I've spent hours on a crucial (to me) micro UI detail, even when unnoticed by others.

I have not only hard software skills but also design and product ones. That's why, in my current job, I proactively pushed for the use of AI across all my team's products, helped shape the product's vision and strategy, and took on the solo development of our iOS app and frontends.

Anyway, apart from what I'm showing on this website, you can also go here for my full portfolio (where I have some of my MacOS projects), here for the beta version of my website with some wonderful photos and interactions, or here , to a check a funny website I did for one of my projects. Oh, and (this is the last one, I promise!) here , for a WIP website for my app, Completo (hover over the logo for an enjoyable surprise!).
These are some of the projects I've worked on. On my website, you can find more images of their logos and designs. The videos are primarily intended to showcase some of the interactions and designs I've built, not the apps per se.
Ugh, but you know what....

I want to make one thing clear (and I say this without arrogance): for the past few years, I have been the one who is always building, always working, always thinking of new ways to solve complicated problems, and spending weekends lost in the details of my work, refining individual animations that probably no one will ever notice.
yeah, for real!

I am always looking for the next challenge, the next problem to solve, and the next project to work on. However, I haven't found the right challenge that matches my skills and passion yet.
Is it a me problem?

If you are looking to meet, talk, brainstorm, or perhaps even hire someone who is incredibly unique and different, then, here I am. I know that there are many others like me, and maybe you are one of them. I am looking for you.

A love letter, February 21, MMXXIV.
